I'm in Montreal and we recently moved our offices in an old building
and there is a huge panel with a russian sentence on it.
I got a good idea from online translators but I wonder if I can get something more precise.

МИНИСТЕРСТВО ЛРОСВЕЩЕНИЯ ДЕТСКИЙ ДОМ ИМЕНИ МАКАРЕНКО

which seems to translate to:

MINISTRY OF CHILDREN'S HOUSE LROSVESCHENIYA BEHALF MAKARENKO

I'm still not sure if the panel is authentic or if it was just something that would have been used in a movie for instance.
But I think it does look authentic and could easily be more than 100 years old.
Also I thought it could be Ukrainian because I think they were numerous in Montreal back then.
But it looks like your translation is very precise. Thanks again! My curiosity is fullfilled.
