I'm looking for something cute to call my girlfriend Maria (she's Russian).  I want it to be like, the affectionate form of angel or rose or something like that.

Can anyone tell me what the affectionate form for Angel is?
Or rose?

For example, I know that Solnishko is like the affectionate form for sun.  That's what I'm looking for, something sweet to call her. 

If anyone also knows some form of her name that won't offend her either, that would be helpful.

PLEASE help me.

Try ANGELOCHECK, sounds quite good.

You might also use MASHEN'KA if she does not mind, this is affectionate for Masha which is the same as Maria. But some do not like to be called Masha, this is a matter of personal prefertences.
