No not humerous this is a serious question. I believe it now to be a mining region in the Ukraine as all the designs and the mark on the bottom relate to mining. why they would have bone china coffee cans I am not sure but they are verry beautifull.

It is DONBASS (Донбасс = abbr. for Донецкий Бассейн), a mining region in the Ukraine.
