I'm in the process of writing a novel and one of my characters happens to only speak Russian. Silly me didn't think about having to actually learn Russian to make sure my translations/his words are correct. Altogether, it seems like a fun and interesting idea to learn a new language; although I am a bit lost where to even begin
I was hoping someone could help translate a few sentences for me? It would be greatly appreciated

2.) "That is not how things are acquired"
3.) Russian translation of the number SEVEN (7)? How do you say it?
1.) "Когда он возвратится?" or: "Когда он вернётся?"
2.) "Не так вещи приобретаются" or: "Вещи не так приобретаются"
3.) "Семь" (7)
